Pressure Canning

About a week ago we tried our first attempted at pressure canning. I am a big homemade soup fan and thought it would be beneficial to be able to can and store our soups without needing to freeze them. My mother-in-law was kind enough to come over and oversee the operation to make sure I didn’t blow the house up. I have to say- it is a time consuming process but certainly worth knowing how to preserve our soups and other homemade dishes with meat. My little ones were excited to decorate their jars and even more excited to gift some to neighbors.
